Timing for fuel change-over and time required

① WITHOUT any directional data for change-over to low sulfur fuel. Ship has to waste expensive low sulfur fuel oil "sacrificially" to comply with the restrictions.

② Logged analysis data with LSFA successfully assists to determine the best and right timing for change-over to low sulfur fuel oil which leads to the fuel oil cost saving eventually.

HOW TO USE

  1. Turn on the analyzer and prepare the sample cells provided.
    (See steps from ① to ⑥ as shown in below pictures)
  2. Place the assembled cell in the analyzer and close the cover.
  3. Push the button to start the measurement.

In the 70th Marine Environmental Protection Commission (MEPC 70) convened by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), it has been formally adopted to strengthen the regulation on the current 3.5 % sulfur content in marine fuel and ship without an installation of effective exhaust gas scrubber must use the compliant fuel, low-sulfur fuel oil with less than 0.5% sulfur content, from 1st of January 2020.
